Charlie Kendall is a freelance guitarist, producer, songwriter, and teacher splitting time between South Carolina and New York.
Charlie’s sound can be described as eclectic and diverse, not restricted to any one genre. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Charlie grew up with a deep appreciation for Blues, Gospel, Bluegrass, and other roots music, but has been ever-evolving over the last decade of his professional music career to include all genres from Pop, Classical, Rock, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Reggae, and many other styles.
Charlie studied guitar performance and songwriting at Berklee College of Music in Boston with guitar luminaries including David Tronzo, Eric Gales, Wayne Krantz, Julien Kasper, Jeff Lockhart, Tomo Fujita, and Woody Mann. He has since shared the stage with artists such as Goo Goo Dolls, Gin Blossoms, The Revivalists, George Porter Jr, Shwayze, Marcy Playground, Malcolm Jamal Warner, Elise Testone, and Nth Power.
Charlie has national touring experience ranging from pop/rock/soul groups in nightclubs and concert venues to upscale solo jazz gigs, weddings along the East Coast, and rocking out reggae festival stages from Costa Rica to South Carolina. He has licensed music for Discovery Channel and Bravo and an appearance in HBO’s “The Deuce” with his band Chameleon Culture.
