Emily Curtis

Emily Curtis is a soulful singer-songwriter with a southern flare. Her inner artist was born at a very young age, and she was regularly exposed to guitar and songwriting lessons as the daughter of one of Charleston’s most influential guitar teachers (Ty Curtis). Combining years of experience with dance, performance arts, and musical theatre… Emily began her professional music journey in 2015, instantly making waves with her guitar and smooth vocals in the Charleston, SC music scene. Since then, she has played countless shows across the southeast as a full-time musician and has expanded her skill set by releasing her original music… including a crowd-funded EP and a steady stream of singles including her most recent song “Sandcastles” which premiered in American Songwriter Magazine.

No stranger to the stage, Curtis has performed countless weddings in the southeast as a featured vocalist with Ben Fagan & the Charleston Groove Factory, leading ceremonies and cocktail hours as a solo performer. She’s also been heard spreading her vibrant sounds everywhere from local venues to amphitheaters, concert halls, showcases in the Costa Rican jungle, as a vocalist for Patrick Davis in his Midnight Choir, as well as big stage concerts supporting national acts such as Parmalee, Sister Hazel and hometown favorites Hootie & The Blowfish.

Emily is a member of the Billboard 500 Club mentored by Adam McInnis, and most recently, co-founded “Sisters In Song”, a community of diverse women in the local music scene on a mission to build authentic relationships, educate, and empower one another.

At the end of the day, Emily Curtis hopes to use her love of all things music to lead people to a place of wholeness and belonging… feeling empowered to “Leave a Mark” using the unique gifts and strengths that each person possesses
